  • Condition: In very good condition with a couple of flaws. The interior has rippling of the bottom vertical sides from apparent previous water intrusion. There is a small split at the right door near the nailed hinge and is still sturdy. Minor separation of wood at the foot. The stain job looks ugly on the underside and am not sure if that is original or redone at some time.

    Description

    Hello!  Presenting this very nice antique sewing box.  The sewing box is estimated to be from the mid-late 1800's and is made of wood.  The kit features a footed base on each side; a curved belly, a pair of gull-wing style doors at the top with small round wood knobs and an arched handle across the top.  It looks mostly original but may have had a couple screws to replace missing nails sometime in the past.  The interior reveals an interior small tray on one side to hold implements. Overall in very good condition. Pretty sure this is American made.
