    Description

    Civil War Soldier Tintype. The soldiers to be wearing a dark blue state issue jacket, probably a trimmed New York issue. The tintype is in excellent shape with no folds, bends or rust marks. Enclosed in a Holmes, Booth & Haydens thermoplastic case. The case was classified by Berg as number 3-75 Geometric. The case is in great shape with only a couple minor cracks on the top that aren't broken through, and the hinges are a little loose. The velvet pad is slightly worn.
