    Description

    Vintage child's knife & spoon by Damaso Gallegos of Taxco. Each shows a rabbit holding a ball of yarn.  The relief work is just beautiful and over time a nice patina has developed in the crevices.  Both the knife & spoon measures a total of 5-1/2 inches long.  The rabbit on its pedestal measures 2-7/16 inches long.  Each piece measures section 3/4 inch wide at the widest point across the rabbit's foot to his fluffy tail... The knife weighs 26.0 grams and the spoon weights 24.1 grams...On the back it has the old Damaso Gallegos markings of "DG" in a circle, and it is also marked STERLING TAXCO and 925.  We will leave the polishing decision up to you, since many people prefer to leave the patina on their vintage pieces.
