    Description

    This is a large tintype photo of 2 men, 2 ladies and a little boy. The older lady standing in the back is dressed all in black signifying she is in mourning. It is inside of a paper mount. The photo was taken by Graver in Allentown, PA, ca. 1885. In addition to the photographer’s advertisement on the backmark, there is an extensive advertisement for the American Business College in Allentown. Overall size: 4 ¼” x 6 ½”. Tintype is slightly smaller. The mount has some tears and there are some light surface scuffs on the image. Contrast is a bit dark in spots; most details can be seen. No bends.
