Our custom board uses traces up to 200% bigger and 75% thicker copper compared to the original for increased current capacity. Our custom switches feature 1.5 million mechanical pushes (vs 6000 on the original) and are 200% higher capacity (10.1 A vs 5A). We use a quality Panasonic or
equivalent
relay, 400% bigger diodes, and of course, our custom injection molded plug assembly
directly attached to our cable - which is far superior to our "competition's" home-made cables.
Our board is based on the OEM functionality and is a simple drop in replacement. No modifications needed to the joystick OR wiring UNLIKE OUR COMPETITION (modifications are
needed
for older mechanical float models - contact for details)!
We HAND solder our boards for precise and long lasting connections using REAL LEADED SOLDER - unlike the other eBay 'science experiment'. Mass produced boards (like the cheaper eBay board) are 'dipped' in liquified lead-free solder and the quality of the connection is left to a camera to inspect. Lead-free solder gets brittle and fails (
like
the OEM boards) and can't stand up to the flexing and temperature changes so common in snow plowing. EVERY board sold by us is HAND made, HAND tested, and GUARANTEED!
We strongly suggest avoiding boards with on-board fuses. If your system fails and blows a fuse - do you want to take your controller apart in the middle of a snow storm and attempt to replace a hard-to-find replacement fuse?? Our boards use the OEM fuse that MUST be installed on your red wire feeding the 6 pin truck-side plug (should be a 6 - 7.5A fuse).
