Pre Columbian Stone Skull Archeologist Estate Find Quartz Crystal?.
Found in the estate collection of Archeologist Dr. Kenneth Honea. It looks like it could be a quartz rock but I am not an expert at rock identification.
It is a possibly it came from one of his many archeological digs in the southwest U.S. It was simply wrapped and labeled “stone skull” in a box filled with stone tools, pottery sherds, and arrowheads from excavations in Arizona and Texas.
I have included a few pictures with a digital microscope to help in case I have miss identified the type of rock.
