Description

Rose rocks, or Barite roses, from the state rock of Oklahoma.
Roses are found in very few places in the world.   Minor occurrences in Kansas, Morocco, and Australia.
The best are found in Oklahoma.
These roses contain disc shaped barite crystals and sand from Garber Sandstone geologic formation. They have a reddish tint caused by a small amount of hematite.
