    Description

    It appears that he’s working on a chair or bench, with a cushion and tool in his hand. There’s a saw and mallet on one side of him, and a block of wood on the other. Not only is he showing us his craft, he’s doing it in style, with his feet gracefully crossed, and in front of a magnificent painted backdrop.
    SIZE. Approximately 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
    CONDITION. No bends. Minimal surface wear. Some bubbling of the emulsion, just to the right of the column at left. Very good to excellent condition.
    APPEARANCE. Very good contrast. Artful composition. Superb content.
