Whatever your reason for replacing your rear-view mirror, Voxx's RVM740SM replacementmirror and monitor is a worthy candidate. Equipped withcomposite video inputs for up tothreevehicle cameras, it's a solid choice for bigger vehicles. A built-in dash cam, Bluetooth functionality, and gesture-based controls round out this well-appointed 7.8" mirror, making it a very subtle way to incorporate some very modern features in an older ride. Gesture control Voxx incorporates an Android-based operating system to navigate the array of options built into this smart mirror. Naturally, you won't want to delve deep into the mirror's menu while driving, but toggling between mirror mode and the LCD touchscreen is as simple as waving your hand left or right if you need to access the menu. Bluetooth integration If you've been looking for a seamless way to use your Bluetooth phone in your vehicle, Voxx smartly incorporates hands-free calling and audio streaming into this mirror. And, by building in an FM transmitter as well, you'll be able to hear any audio from your phone through your vehicle's audio system. Dash cam recording Voxx's built-in, fully automated camera will start recording once the engine is turned on and it'll stop when the engine is turned off. Beyond that, you don't need to think about it again if you don't want to. All you need to know is that the RVM740SM is loop-recording an impressivelywide-angle HDview of the road to document whatever comes your way. You can access playback through the RVM740SM itself, using touchscreen controls. Video files are saved to an included 8GB SD card, but you can upgrade to SD card storage up to 32GB. Three video inputs The mirror blends seamlessly with most vehicle interiors, and automatically dims or brightens depending on the time of day. The monitor features three video inputs if you'd like to add a front- and side-viewcamera to your vehicle too. The user-friendly menu makes it easy to tweak your parking guidelines, brightness, and other settings. Mirror your Android device A USB connection with a compatible Android phone expands the connectivity features of the RVM740SM, allowing you to screen-mirror your device. Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to create a wireless connection with your compatible Android as well. Using your phone as a hotspot, you'll be able to download apps from the Google Play store directly onto the Android-basedRVM740SM. Installation Installation will require the replacement of your factory rear-view mirror, and running wire for power and video between the Voxx mirror and any video source.
